            Basketball Recap: Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs vs. Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Napa Christian  last Tuesday, Summerfield Waldorf came back down to earth. The Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs fell just short of the Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans by a score of  41-39 on Saturday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in January of 2024.
  MJ Lepulu had a dynamite game for Rio Lindo Adventist,  going 9 of 12  on his way to 18  points and seven  boards. Those 18 points gave  Lepulu a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordan Campbell, who  posted eight  points and seven  rebounds.
Summerfield Waldorf now  has a losing record at 5-6. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerfield Waldorf has  already played their next  game (against Pacific Union College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rio Lindo Adventist will square off against Napa Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on January 28th. Rio Lindo Adventist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3  points per game  this season.
