Volleyball Preview: Hot Webster Meets Cameron

The Webster Tigers will take on the Cameron Comets at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Webster will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Webster made easy work of Grantsburg and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Webster walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Webster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Grindell led the charge by getting 15 digs and five aces. Dana Jackson was another key player, getting 22 assists, nine digs, and two aces.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cameron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cumberland on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Comets yet this season.

While Cameron won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final set scores came out to 25-9, 27-25, 25-15.

The win improved Cameron's record to 9-9. As for Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
