Blanchester lost to Mercy McAuley on Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Wolves 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 15, 2025.

Bailie Bare was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Rose, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Blanchester lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Blanchester's record now sits at 5-1. As for Mercy McAuley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Coming up, Blanchester will look to defend their home field on Monday against East Clinton at 5:00 p.m. As for Mercy McAuley, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Ursula Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
