It was a good run, but Millry unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Washington County Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

LillyAnne Doggette paced Millry's offense, picking up six kills. Doggette got some help from Sawyar Brown and her 15 assists. Doggette was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Millry's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Washington County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Washington County beat Millry by a score of 2-0 later that day.
