Basketball Recap: Penn Treaty Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bodine

Penn Treaty scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to Bodine 111-106. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (57), the Wovles still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Penn Treaty still got an impressive performance from Heavon Washington, who posted 51 points. Washington's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delval Carr, who earned 17 points.

Bodine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nigeir Fisher out in front who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Fisher is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Alex Delisca, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 boards.

Penn Treaty's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6-1. As for Bodine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Treaty has already played their next game (against Franklin Towne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bodine will square off against Belmont Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bodine will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
