Tri County Northeast had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Winnebago Indians 3-0 on Thursday. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Tri County Northeast's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Kiya Tornez paced Tri County Northeast's offense, picking up ten kills. Tornez got some help from Ally Belt and her 27 assists. Belt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri County Northeast will take on Homer on Thursday. As for Winnebago, they will challenge Mead at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
