Basketball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Eastmark Firebirds, falling 54-23. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Firebirds are ranked 36th).

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eastmark, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will challenge Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastmark, they will square off against Crismon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastmark is facing Crismon at the right time seeing as Crismon is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
