Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Canevin vs. Serra Catholic

The Bishop Canevin Crusaders will head out to face off against the Serra Catholic Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Canevin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bishop Canevin lost 9-1 to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Bishop Canevin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Our Lady of the Sacred Heart are ranked 126th).

Meanwhile, Serra Catholic fell victim to Aquinas Academy and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 7-0. Serra Catholic haven't had much luck with Aquinas Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Serra Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bishop Canevin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Bishop Canevin came out on top in a nail-biter against Serra Catholic in their previous matchup on September 9th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
