Football Recap: Saranac Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Saranac barely beat Saranac Lake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans' defense stepped up to hand the Red Storm a 40-0 shutout on Saturday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Saranac's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.8 points over those games. As for Saranac Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
