North Penn-Liberty put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cowanesque Valley Indians a 3-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Mountie, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Elyna Booth's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, North Penn-Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addie Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

North Penn-Liberty's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Cowanesque Valley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, North Penn-Liberty will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Canton at 4:30 p.m. As for Cowanesque Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on May 1.
