Volleyball Recap: Attica Takes a Loss

Attica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoopeston Cornjerkers. The Red Ramblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cornjerkers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Attica ultimately came up short, they really made Hoopeston work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hoopeston, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Attica will take on Seeger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoopeston, they will head out to take on St. Anne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
