Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Victory Charter

Victory Charter had won four straight home games and Leah Ray did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Victory Charter Vipers enjoyed a cozy 37-20 victory over the Idaho City Wildcats thanks in part to Ray, who posted 21 points along with seven steals and six boards. Victory Charter is 2-1 when Ray posts five or more steals, but 7-10 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Stockett, who had four points and ten rebounds. Stockett is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Victory Charter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points over those games. As for Idaho City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
