Baseball Game Preview: Auburn Trojans vs. Morrisonville Mohawks

The Auburn Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Morrisonville Mohawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, Auburn came up short against Springfield and fell 6-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Auburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Boston, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Morrisonville lost 8-2 to Pawnee on Thursday.

Morrisonville's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Auburn got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 against Morrisonville by a conclusive 19-6 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Mohawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
