Wheatmore barely beat Trinity the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Wheatmore, who have now won seven contests by five goals or more so far this season.

They hit Trinity with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Natalie Bowman (3), Sarah Spoone, and Jocelyn McDowell.

Wheatmore's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Trinity, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Wheatmore has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Randleman on the 9th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Southwestern Randolph on the 9th.
