Basketball Recap: Santa Rosa Takes a Loss

Santa Rosa and College Park squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Santa Rosa had to settle for second. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the College Park Falcons. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 68-64.

College Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Miles Cooper led the charge by putting up 15 points. Cooper's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Smith, who posted 15 points.

Santa Rosa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for College Park, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.

Santa Rosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for College Park, they will challenge San Domenico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. College Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully San Domenico likes a good challenge.
