Basketball Recap: Nuview Bridge Takes a Loss

Nuview Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-29 loss at the hands of the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1262nd, while the Conquerors are ranked 322nd).

Desert Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaden Herling, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Augustine Youssef, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards.

Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Desert Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Nuview Bridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-39 defeat against Santa Rosa Academy on the 17th. As for Desert Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-53 victory against San Jacinto Valley Academy on the 15th.
