Softball Recap: West Point Warriors vs. Hayden Wildcats
West Point lost against Hayden last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Point Warriors took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayden Wildcats. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Point got a big performance out of Macie Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Brown has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kealie Harbison, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

Brown wasn't the only one working in the hit department: West Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Hayden, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point will face off against Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Point is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Hayden, they will square off against Corner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hayden knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Corner likes a good challenge.
