Baseball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

While it was Bethel who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was St. Patrick-St. Vincent who put up more. The Jaguars came up short against the Bruins, falling 24-8. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost eight in a row.

AJ Ricker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Bethel's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-8. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Patrick-St. Vincent beat Bethel by a score of 14-1 on Friday.
