Basketball Recap: Eagle's Landing Comes Up Short

Eagle's Landing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Jones County Greyhounds, falling 68-47. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 44th).

Mya Anderson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards for Jones County. Anderson has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Kamiyah Adams was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Eagle's Landing's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Jones County, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle's Landing will welcome Ola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jones County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Locust Grove at 6:00 p.m. Jones County is facing Locust Grove at the right time seeing as Locust Grove is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
