Rosemead fell victim to Marshall and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rosemead got a good showing from Rigo Sanchez, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs Sanchez has allowed since back in February.

Arroyo let Bell Gardens stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Monday but luckily Arroyo prevailed anyway. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Lancers 6-5. Six seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Arroyo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Mardueno, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Gio Perez was another, going 2-for-3 with one run.

The win (which was Arroyo's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rosemead, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Rosemead might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Arroyo in their previous meeting on April 4th. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
