Baseball Recap: Danville Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westville, Danville was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Urbana Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Jake Garrison was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Danville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-13 otherwise. Ace Sumila also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-13. As for Urbana, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Danville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
