Volleyball Preview: Chelan Mountain Goats vs. Cashmere Bulldogs
Chelan is 9-1 against Cashmere since September of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Chelan Mountain Goats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cashmere Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Chelan was able to grind out a solid victory over Royal, taking the game 3-1.
If Omak wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cashmere, they should've done a better job of containing Mandy Barba. Cashmere was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Omak on Saturday thanks in part to Barba, who had 11 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.
Cashmere walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-7, 25-16, 25-17.
Cashmere was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 26 consecutive matches.
Chelan pushed their record up to 22-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cashmere, their win bumped their record up to 24-2.
