Milford took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bynum with a sharp 23-3 win. Milford not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5, 2024.
Easton Evans was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Evans was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three doubles, and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Geisel, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Fuentez, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3.
Milford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bynum only posted an OBP of .500.
Bynum is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Coming up, Milford will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Azle Christian at 3:00 p.m. As for Bynum, they are taking a road trip to square off against Avalon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
