St. Maries barely beat Kellogg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lumberjacks were the clear victors by  a  19-8 margin over the Wildcats on Tuesday. Considering the Lumberjacks have won seven contests by more than seven  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Addyson Stewart was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   nine  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Madison Thomas was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.  Brenna Elliott was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.
 St. Maries was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win (which was St. Maries' third in a row) raised their record to 9-6. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Kellogg,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-11.
 Coincidentally, St. Maries and Kellogg will both be playing Grangeville the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Bulldogs at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday, while the Lumberjacks will head out to face them  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday.
