Basketball Recap: Fike Comes Up Short

Fike was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-40 to the Northern Nash Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Demons of the 46-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Fike's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Northern Nash, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Looking ahead, Fike will be taking part in a tournament against Hunt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern Nash, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kinston at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
