Volleyball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Kasson-Mantorville Komets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17.

Emilyn Dienger paced Century's offense, picking up eight kills. Dienger got some help from Laney Stellmaker and her 20 assists. Emma Greene controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Century wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Luverne on the 30th. As for Kasson-Mantorville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lourdes on the 28th.
