Basketball Recap: Stanley Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Stanley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Dunseith Dragons 79-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-45 back in January.

Stanley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for Dunseith, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Blue Jays challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Town knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Stanley likes a good challenge. As for Dunseith, they will challenge Rugby at 4:15 a.m. on Friday.
