Football Game Preview: Culver Academies Eagles vs. Kankakee Valley Kougars

The Culver Academies Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Kankakee Valley Kougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Culver Academies will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Culver Academies is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Hammond Central to the tune of 35-6 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Kankakee Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanover Central.

Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Culver Academies, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Culver Academies was able to grind out a solid victory over Kankakee Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 35-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
