Preview: Cass City Red Hawks vs. Bad Axe Hatchets
The Cass City Red Hawks will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Bad Axe Hatchets at 7:30 p.m. Cass City is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Last Wednesday, Cass City was able to grind out a solid victory over Reese, taking the game 60-50. Given Cass City's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Reese is ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bad Axe's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Caro.
Cass City pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Bad Axe, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.
Cass City took their win against Bad Axe in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 52-30. Does Cass City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bad Axe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
