Caleb Calhoun posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Sitka is undefeated when Calhoun posts eight or more strikeouts, but 2-5-1 otherwise.

Calhoun's strong effort led Sitka over Ketchikan and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolves are 8-2 against the Kings going back to May of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
