Legacy's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Legacy Longhorns vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

After a string of five wins, the Legacy Longhorns's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shadow Ridge. Legacy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shadow Ridge apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Legacy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rahjon Chambers. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Chambers is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Maven-Bell Toleafoa, who scored 12 points.

Legacy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7. As for Shadow Ridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will take on Cimarron-Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will play host again and welcome Del Sol, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
