Basketball Game Preview: Glenvar Highlanders vs. Auburn Eagles

The Glenvar Highlanders will challenge the Auburn Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Glenvar will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Friday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Glenvar made off with a 53-52 victory over Salem.

Meanwhile, Auburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cave Spring.

Auburn's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Glenvar, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Glenvar came up short against Auburn in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 68-62. Can Glenvar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
