Jellico's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sunbright Tigers by a score of 8-5. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 19-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Sophie Hughes, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Emily Fuston was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Jellico's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Jellico and Sunbright will both be playing Wartburg Central the next time they take the field. Sunbright will head out to face Wartburg Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Jellico will host them at 7:05 p.m. on Friday.
