Edinburgh dropped their record down to 14-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Southwestern Rebels by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Lancers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Kenna Streeval was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Fox, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
Coming up, Edinburgh will face off against Center Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwestern, they will square off against Milan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
