Football Game Preview: Bethel Wildcats vs. Heavener Wolves + Official Tickets

The Bethel Wildcats will square off against the Heavener Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethel will be strutting in after a victory while Heavener will be coming in after a loss.

Bethel took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-0 win over Okmulgee. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Bethel relied on the efforts of Maddox Davis, who threw for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes, and Ezra Powis, who rushed for 86 yards and one TD. Davis' passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Heavener played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 54-14 defeat at the hands of Kiefer. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-0.

Heavener's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bethel, they moved to 6-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Everything came up roses for Bethel against Heavener in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 52-15 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
