Baseball Recap: NELA Christian Homeschool Has No Trouble Against Acadiana Christian

NELA Christian Homeschool lost to Acadiana Christian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Flame blew past the Lions 11-2. Considering the Flame have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jayce Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cash Frizzell and Michael Fox did most of the damage at the plate: Frizzell scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Fox scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Fox a new career-high in RBI (three). Aiden Lamb was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

NELA Christian Homeschool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Acadiana Christian only posted a batting average of .217.

NELA Christian Homeschool's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Acadiana Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

As of now, neither NELA Christian Homeschool nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
