Baseball Recap: Bangor Slaters vs. Wilson Area Warriors
After flying high against Notre Dame-Green Pond last Saturday, Bangor came back down to earth. Bangor fell 4-0 to the Wilson Area Warriors on Monday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Slaters were not able to get on the board.
Jacob Labar was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.
At the plate, Bangor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Koza, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Koza's first of the season.
Bangor's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wilson Area, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.
