Basketball Recap: West Chargers vs. Turner Golden Bears
The West Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Turner 81-30 at home. That 51 point margin sets a new team best for West this season.
West was led to victory by Jalen Foy and Keimani Paul. Foy scored 20 points along with four steals and three blocks, while Paul scored 22 points along with seven assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paul has scored all season. Ja'vian Chambers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
West is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Turner, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will take on the Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Chargers like a good challenge. As for Turner, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Vikings at 7:15 p.m.
