Rodriguez dropped their record down to 11-10 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the Vanden Vikings, falling  17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  9-1  on April 4th.
As for Vanden, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.
For Vanden's part,  Isabella Cueva tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Cueva has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  KJ Horton was a standout: she got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Niayli Calvo, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
As of now, neither Rodriguez nor Vanden have any future games scheduled.
