Football Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Biggersville Lions

The Walnut Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Biggersville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Walnut is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Ashland on Friday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blue Devils 36-6. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Biggersville faced off against Baldwyn on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 27-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Biggersville's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average this season. As for Walnut, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Walnut took a serious blow against Biggersville when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 61-16. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 55-0.
