When it comes to explaining why St. Brendan lost, don't look at Bella Perez. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points.

St. Brendan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

St. Brendan and Archbishop McCarthy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. St. Brendan (ranked 272nd) will meet Ferguson (ranked 127th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Archbishop McCarthy will challenge Westminster Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday down 260 places (280 vs. 20).
