Baseball Game Preview: Margaretta Polar Bears vs. Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains

The Margaretta Polar Bears will face off against the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Margaretta will be strutting in after a victory while Hopewell-Loudon will be coming in after a loss.

Margaretta will bounce into Monday's game after beating Plymouth, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Polar Bears walked away with an 8-3 win over the Big Red on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Polar Bears.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Hopewell-Loudon's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Liberty-Benton by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chieftains have suffered since April 12th.

Hopewell-Loudon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Margaretta's victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.
