Baseball Game Preview: North Shore Mustangs vs. Humble Wildcats

For the second straight game, North Shore will face off against Humble. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. North Shore will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, North Shore beat Humble 7-2.

Pete Almaraz made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

North Shore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.4.

Humble's loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for North Shore, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
