Boardman won the last time they faced East, and Gianna Commons did her part to make sure it happened again. The Spartans blew past East 3-0 on Monday for which the team can thank Commons, who had four digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Boardman was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-12.

Boardman's record now sits at 7-3. As for East, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Boardman will host Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Struthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
