The Episcopal Knights entered their tilt with the St. John's Mavericks with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Episcopal walked away with a 72-59 victory over St. John's on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

St. John's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Booker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Izaan Mohammad, who scored 15 points.

Episcopal is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. As for St. John's, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-7.
