Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Academy Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, Mount Pisgah Christian Academy was not quite Rhea County's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rhea County Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, Mount Pisgah Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Rhea County is ranked 94th).

When it comes to explaining why Mount Pisgah Christian Academy lost, don't look at Kaylynn Walls. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Walls' evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jesalyn Howard, who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Rhea County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8.
