Football Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for South Park's offense. They were dealt a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Gilpin County Eagles on Friday. The Burros' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row dating back to last season.

Landon Church was nothing short of spectacular for Gilpin County: he picked up 49 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown.

South Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gilpin County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, South Park will face off against Belleview Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gilpin County, they will square off against Justice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
