Soccer Game Preview: Baylor vs. Meadowcreek

The Baylor Red Raiders will face off against the Meadowcreek Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Baylor is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Boyd-Buchanan on Tuesday. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 3-2. Baylor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Meadowcreek kept a clean sheet against Brookwood on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Meadowcreek have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meadowcreek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six games. As for Baylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-2.

Baylor took their win against Meadowcreek when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
