Softball Recap: Ulysses Tigers vs. Southwestern Heights Mustangs

Ulysses scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Southwestern Heights Mustangs as the Ulysses Tigers made off with a 17-7 win. Winning may never get old, but Ulysses sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Rocio Baeza, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three straight games. Devany Vitolas was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

On Southwestern Heights' side, Lacie Banman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Banman hasn't dropped below two stolen bases for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Addyson White, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.

Ulysses' victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Southwestern Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
