Softball Recap: Hebbronville's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hebbronville put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the Martin Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kadence Trevino was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Trevino was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avalee Rodriguez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Theresa Salinas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hebbronville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Martin only posted a batting average of .250.

Hebbronville's record is now 3-0. As for Martin, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Hebbronville will head out to challenge United South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Martin, they will host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
